Mabuhay!: A Graphic Novel [English, Paperback]

Can two kids save the world and run their family's food truck?

From rising star Zachary Sterling comes a hilarious, heartwarming middle-grade graphic novel celebrating family, food, and Filipino folklore.

First-generation Filipino siblings JJ and Althea are just trying to fit in. JJ wants to blend into the school crowd, while Althea wants to be accepted for who she is. To make matters worse, their parents make them work at the family food truck—dressing up in a dancing pig suit and handing out samples. Ugh!

As if that weren't enough, their mom is constantly lecturing them with lessons from Filipino folklore. But when witches, ogres, and mythical creatures straight out of those stories begin threatening their family, JJ and Althea realize the legends are dangerously real. Can they embrace their heritage, harness their newfound bravery, and save their family?
